RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Moreno鈥檚 research is centered on Cyber-Physical Systems, where advances in Communications, Semiconductors, and Automation & Controls converge to address industrial and societal needs. His work spans Digital Signal Processing, Energy, Nano/Micro-electronics, Medical Engineering, and multimedia approaches to engineering education. With a strong emphasis on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), he integrates interdisciplinary applications to foster innovation. Dr. Moreno has authored over 130 publications and supervised more than ninety graduate students, advancing knowledge and practice in engineering.

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Wilfrido A. Moreno received his B.S., M.S.E.E., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the 最新天美传媒 (1983, 1985, 1993). He joined USF鈥檚 Electrical Engineering Department in 1984, advancing from Teaching/Research Assistant to Professor (2008鈥損resent). His prior roles include consultant with Boeing鈥揝AIC and Leidos, VP of Strategic Planning, and Director of R&D (2002鈥2022) for ISTEC. Dr. Moreno鈥檚 career integrates teaching, research, and leadership in engineering, fostering broad international collaborations.
