Major Chase enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on 14 October 2008 and attended Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California. On 9 January 2009 he graduated from Recruit Training and reported to the School of Infantry on Camp Pendleton, California, where he was assigned to the Infantry Training Battalion. Following graduation from infantry training and designation as an 0311 Rifleman, Lance Corporal Chase reported to Company A, 1st Battalion, 4th

Marines, 1st Marine Division. He served in this unit from 26 March 2009 until 11 May 2013, promoting from the rank of Lance Corporal to Sergeant and serving in numerous billets, from Automatic Rifleman to Platoon Sergeant.

In 2012 Sergeant Chase was accepted into the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program. He attended ten weeks of Officer Candidate School starting on 11 February 2013 and then checked into the Purdue University Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps on 11 May 2013. At Purdue University, Staff Sergeant Chase earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 9 December 2016. On 21 March 2017, Second Lieutenant Chase reported to The Basic School, and after being selected for the military occupational specialty of 0302 and completing Infantry Officer鈥檚 Course on 24 March 2018, was assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division.

Lieutenant Chase served in 1st Battalion, 5th Marines from 24 April 2018 until 4 May 2021, promoting from the rank of Second Lieutenant to Captain and serving as a Platoon Commander, Company Executive Officer, and Battalion Assistant Operations Officer. He was then assigned to the 12th Marine Corps District, Recruiting Station San Diego as the Officer Selection Officer, where he served from 4 May 2021 until 6 June 2024. On 6 June 2024 he was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division as the Commander of Company G, and subsequently Weapons Company after returning from deployment. During this time, he was promoted to the rank of Major. On 1 June 2026 he checked into the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of South Florida as the Executive Officer/Associate Professor of Naval Science and Marine Officer Instructor, the billet in which he is currently serving.

Thanks to the exception leaders and Marines with which he has served, Major Chase has been fortunate enough to be awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.
