BIO

Adam Phillips is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and Associate Director of First-Year Writing at the Tampa campus. He earned his Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition at the 最新天美传媒, Tampa, in 2022. His research interests span generative AI, writing program assessment, writing analytics, composition pedagogy, and issues of professionalization in RC/WS. He teaches first-year composition, professional and technical communication, digital rhetoric, expository writing, and new media courses. His work has been published in Composition Forum, Research in Online Literacy Education, Sweetland Digital Rhetoric Collaborative, and in the edited collection Writing and Rhetoric Studies in the Loop: A GenAI Prompt Library.
