In July 2024, Jean-Fran莽ois Biasse received (as a Co-PI) a CAD 280,000 2-year grant from Quantum City, an institute formed in partnership between the University of Calgary, the Government of Alberta, and the Mphasis company. The grant funds a consortium of researchers in computer science, mathematics, and physics across the universities of Alberta, Calgary and Lethbridge. The goal of the project is the development of hybrid classical/quantum cryptographic protocols.
