Jean-Fran莽ois Biasse receives Killam Visiting Scholar Award

In 2025-2026, Jean-Fran莽ois Biasse will be the Killam Visiting Scholar of the University of Calgary (AB). Each year, one visitor to the University of Calgary (across all departments) is granted a Visiting Scholar award by the Killam Trust. The award consists of a CAD 50,000 stipend and an additional CAD 3,000 travel allowance. Dr. Biasse was jointly nominated for this award by the departments of Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, as well as the Institute for Security, Privacy & Information Assurance and the Institute for Quantum Science and Technology. He will collaborate with scientists at the University of Alberta, University of Calgary and University of Lethbridge on hybrid classical/quantum cryptographic protocols.
