Jorge earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in Criminology from the 最新天美传媒 in 2004 and later completed his MBA at Saint Leo University in 2016. He is bilingual and fluent in Spanish.

For more than two decades, his professional career has focused on strengthening families, improving outcomes for children, and supporting communities across Hillsborough County and the state of Florida.

He began his career in 2004 with the Hispanic Services Council as a Case Manager for the FASST (Family and School Support Team) program, where he provided case management services to elementary-aged students and their families in East and South Hillsborough County. In 2008, he joined Success 4 Kids & Families, where he spent 16 years serving in a variety of impactful roles.

During his time at Success 4 Kids & Families, he initially worked with the Juvenile Domestic Violence Diversion Program in partnership with the Department of Juvenile Justice, providing case management and support services to youth involved in the juvenile justice system. He later transitioned to the JUST Bridges program, a collaborative initiative with the Tampa Housing Authority, where he supported children and families in West Tampa and the North Boulevard Homes community. This program focused on promoting mental health, family stability, and educational success.

Following the completion of that grant, Jorge developed and launched the Successful Families Program, funded by the Children鈥檚 Board of Hillsborough County. For the past nine years, this program has provided case management, counseling, and parent education services to families with children from birth through middle school living in East and South Hillsborough County. His final five years at the organization, he served as the Director of Case Management Services, overseeing program operations and supporting teams dedicated to family and youth development.

Prior to joining the 最新天美传媒,  Jorge worked with Central Florida Behavioral Health Network (CFBHN) as a Senior Program Manager, overseeing provider contracts and budgets across 22 counties throughout Florida. In this role, he managed services supporting both children and adults in areas such as mental health, substance use treatment, prevention programs, adoption services, and residential care.
