As part of USF鈥檚 College of Education, PCL serves as a model early childhood program where teaching, research, and community come together to support the whole child.
Through an inquiry approach to teaching and learning, children engage in meaningful investigations, creative expression, and collaborative learning experiences that nurture intellectual development, social-emotional growth, and physical well-being. At the same time, the preschool serves as a dynamic site for teacher education, research, and professional development, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in early childhood education.
For more than three decades, the USF Preschool for Creative Learning has provided a supportive and inclusive environment where children, families, educators, and researchers work together to inspire lifelong learning.

Preparing the Next Generation of Educators
As part of the College of Education, the Preschool for Creative Learning (PCL) serves as a site for teacher education and research in early childhood education. At the PCL, students in USF鈥檚 Early Childhood Education programs collaborate with faculty and teachers in the study of practice in an inquiry-rich environment. These experiences support the development of educators and scholars while contributing to ongoing innovation in the field.
