BIOGRAPHY:
Nate is a founder and former president of the (and is currently serving as the Chairman of the Advisory Board), as well as a founder
of and the . He is a managing editor at the , on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Military History, a senior mentor
for the Project on International Peace and Security (PIPS) at the College of William
& Mary, an affiliate at the , a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council鈥檚 Indo-Pacific Security Initiative,
a Non-Resident Research Fellow at the Duke University American Grand Strategy Program,
a Non-Resident Adjunct Fellow at the Pacific Forum, and a member of the . Nate was a Visiting Fellow at the and a Non-Resident Fellow at the . He is the co-editor and author of the book , the editor and author of , and published his most recent book, , with
Cornell University Press. Nate is currently researching a new book focused on Cold War Taiwan.
Nate earned a Ph.D. in History from Duke University in 2022 while also serving as a . Previously, he received master鈥檚 degrees in Public Administration from Harvard University and the University of Kansas, and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Arizona.
