A unit under USF Student Success, Innovative Education is a powerhouse of creativity
and collaboration across Tampa, St. Pete, and Sarasota campuses. Working closely
with colleges, faculty, and the Tampa Bay community, InEd creates innovative, student-centered
digital content, courses, fully online programs and non-credit industry certificates
and microcredentials that cater to the needs of today's learners while also addressing
workforce demand.
InEd鈥檚 Digital Learning team of learning designers, training and support consultants,
multimedia and graphics artists and media producers, partner with faculty to transform
courses into dynamic technology-enhanced learning experiences. We facilitate the
advancement of faculty expertise with digital teaching and learning tools through
customized support, training, research, pilots, and enterprise implementation. The
team works with seasoned pros and new faculty alike, helping them integrate technology
into teaching and simply stay up to date with the latest educational trends, technologies,
and best practices. 鈥�

Digital Learning
InEd鈥檚 Digital Learning teams on Tampa, St. Pete and Sarasota-Manatee campuses encompass expertise in four key areas: learning design grounded in pedagogical principles, cutting-edge video production and multimedia creation for engaging interaction, educational technology integration, and robust facilitation support. This integrated approach ensures the delivery of high-quality online student experiences that foster learner success.

Schedule consultations, get certified to teach online, join live workshops, or enroll in self-paced ones. We're dedicated to your mastery of teaching in a digital environment and using Canvas, Teams, Honorlock, and USF's digital platforms.
- The Digital Learning Design teams partner with faculty to reimagine courses in a digital environment. Our approach is an intentional, human-centered process that shifts the focus from content delivery to student-centered learning experiences. The process is informed by ADDIE, design thinking, collaborative problem solving, and sound pedagogical practices. It鈥檚 highly personalized and rooted in quality standard research & practice.
InEd Studios
The award-winning Innovative Education Studios (InEd Studios) multimedia production
team partners with USF learning designers, faculty, staff, and administrators to create
engaging educational media, including video, photography, animation, and graphic design.
The high-quality content is meant to increase engagement and improve student learning
outcomes in blended and fully online courses.
Additionally, InEd Studios collaborates with a variety of university partners and
outside entities to create custom content. This includes documentary, commercial,
animation, and a wide range of projects that push production possibilities to the
limit.
Its state-of-the-art studios include a custom LED volume for virtual production as
well as a green screen studio that uses the latest technology in real-time compositing
for even more immersive virtual production capabilities.
Marketing and Recruitment
Innovative Education鈥檚 Communications and Marketing team works with academic units
across USF and develops, launches, and manages marketing and public relations efforts
for targeted online graduate programs, graduate certificates, non-credit certificates,
and professional education programs.
The Innovative Education Recruitment team serves prospective students looking to learn
about select innovative online programs by answering questions about admission requirements
and providing guidance during the application process. Its wrap-around services make
it easier for program leaders to swiftly make admissions decisions.
Finance
Innovative Education鈥檚 Finance and Human Resources team manages personnel and unit operations as well as financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting for a myriad of programs. It assesses the financial viability of new programs, creating financial models and handling program start-up, ongoing analysis, and student billing support. Additionally, the team collaborates across colleges and campuses for Distance Learning audit management. It also ensures compliance with Florida statutes, Board of Governors regulations and USF policies related to distance learning and self-supporting/market rate programs, addressing Board of Trustee and Board of Governors requests.
Student Services
InEd's student services team offers personalized student success coaching for specific online programs, playing a crucial role in guiding students throughout their journey in fully online programs, from initial enrollment to degree or certificate attainment. This team also collaborates closely with various student support units at USF to ensure that our online learners receive the necessary assistance through optimized support services tailored for their unique needs.
