For Students
Second Year Success
As we support students at every stage of their academic journey, the second year is a particularly important time for continued guidance and connection. During this year, students often experience increased academic rigor, declare a major, and build on the momentum of their first-year experiences鈥攂oth inside and outside the classroom.
The second year is also a pivotal period for shaping academic, professional, and personal identity. As students make key decisions about their future, we provide intentional support through academic and career planning, targeted programming, and personalized assistance for those encountering barriers. Our goal is to help students feel confident, connected, and prepared as they continue toward graduation.
Academic Coaching
The Office of Academic Resilience and Support provides individualized guidance to
help students with academic and personal planning. Academic coaching complements the
college advising experience and offers multiple meetings for students who need additional
support.
Academic Advocacy
Academic Advocates help students identify and navigate academic, financial, and personal
barriers that may impact their college experience. Advocates connect students with
campus resources and support services to help them address concerns and stay on track.
