Transfer How to Apply

It's easy to apply to USF as a transfer student! If you're ready to get started, follow the steps below. If you a former Bull hoping to return to USF or a college graduate seeking a second bachelor's degree, check out your steps to apply here.

Step 1: Submit Your Application

Start by completing and submitting your application to USF.

Step 2: Pay Your Application Fee

Pay the nonrefundable $30 application fee or submit a NACAC application fee waiver request through the Applicant Portal.

Step 3: Submit College Transcripts

Submit official transcripts from each college or university you attended, including dual enrollment. Also, if you're admitted to USF, you will be required to submit final transcripts with your final semester's grades.

Step 4: Submit High School Transcripts

Submit official high school transcript(s), home school transcript(s) or GED. Submit these for each institution you attended.

Step 5: Submit Test Scores

Only for students with less than 60 transferable credits.

Submit official SAT, ACT or CLT scores.

Application Fee Waiver

USF accepts requests to waive the application fee for students who submit evidence that the fee causes significant financial hardship.

Please note: This request will be reviewed and is not automatically granted upon submission of documentation.

Transfer students must submit a  through the Applicant Portal for official review. 

How to Upload Documents:

Submit your NACAC Request for Application Fee Waiver Form through the Applicant Portal under 鈥淯pload Materials.鈥 PDFs are preferred; photos of hard-copy forms are discouraged.

 

Students Returning to USF or Seeking a Second Degree

If you're a college graduate seeking a second bachelor's degree or a former student returning to USF, please follow the directions below.

Step 1: Submit Your Application

Start by completing and submitting your application to USF.

Step 2: Pay Your Application Fee

Pay the nonrefundable $30 application fee or submit a NACAC application fee waiver request through the Applicant Portal.

Step 3: Submit College Transcripts

Ask every school you鈥檝e attended to send transcripts to USF electronically. Electronic transcripts transmitted to USF from the Florida College System do not include courses from other colleges/universities. We highly recommend that you have transcripts from your previous schools sent electronically to USF.

Step 4: Submit An ARC Petition

Only for former USF students seeking to return.

If you were academically dismissed from USF, were on academic probation or have a cumulative USF GPA less than 2.0, please complete and submit an ARC Petition.
