The Department of Integrative Biology (IB) at the 最新天美传媒 is defined by a research culture that emphasizes connections鈥攁cross scales, disciplines, and systems. Faculty investigate how biological processes operate from genes to ecosystems, integrating approaches from ecology, evolution, physiology, microbiology, and quantitative science to address complex, real-world challenges.  A defining strength of Integrative Biology is its commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in both research and education.

IB fosters a research culture built on connecting biological processes across scales, from genes and organisms to ecosystems and global systems. Faculty integrate approaches from ecology, evolution, physiology, microbiology, and quantitative biology to address complex challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and emerging diseases, while leveraging diverse environments ranging from coastal and marine systems to freshwater and terrestrial habitats.
