Rui Dai is an assistant professor of finance at the 最新天美传媒. His work focuses on teaching and research in corporate finance, financial technology, empirical asset pricing, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to financial research.
Before joining USF, Dai served as senior research director at Wharton Research Data Services at the University of Pennsylvania, where he supported academic researchers, developed research tools and data products, and collaborated with universities and data providers worldwide. His research examines how technology affects financial markets and corporate decision-making, with interests in machine access to financial information, natural language processing, initial public offerings, innovation, environmental finance, labor markets, and mergers and acquisitions. His work has been published or accepted in Management Science, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Finance, and the Journal of International Business Studies.
Dai earned his PhD in Financial Economics from York University. He also holds undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Economics and is a CFA charterholder.
