Vikas Soni is an assistant professor of instruction at the Kate Tiedemann School of Business and Finance, director of the Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Center and Bloomberg Lab at the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus, and the director of the Student Managed Investment Fund, a program in which students pitch real-money investments to a board of professional investors and advisors. He teaches financial management, principles of finance, and principles of investments.

His research focuses on household finance, climate finance, political economy, real estate, insurance, banking, and fintech. He earned a PhD in finance from USF. He holds a master鈥檚 degree in physics from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Technology in electronics and communication engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology. He has extensive professional experience as a data scientist.
