Woongchae (Chae) Yoo is an assistant professor in The Baldwin Group School of Risk Management and Insurance at USF鈥檚 Muma College of Business.
Before joining academia, he worked for Korea Credit Guarantee Fund in South Korea, where he gained industry experience in corporate credit evaluation, underwriting, claims assessment, and actuarial analysis through the organization鈥檚 rotational development program. His research interests include insurance analytics, predictive modeling, network models, and insurance economics, with a particular focus on non-life insurance.
He earned his PhD in risk management and insurance and master鈥檚 degree in actuarial science from Georgia State University, and dual bachelor鈥檚 degrees in business administration and economics from Sogang University in South Korea. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.
