Marine snow particles, small aggregates of dead organisms and sticky materials, sank faster due to the oil spill.

In a recent study, Kendra Daly, professor of biological oceanography, collected marine snow particle data via a towed camera imaging system to determine the impact of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on the region.
