About Us
Support Army ROTC
The USF Foundation connects the University with donors who want to make a difference and provide financial support to the overall USF community.
An example of people financially supporting the Suncoast Battalion is "The Pathway
               to Selfless
Service" that leads to the JMLC. One has an opportunity to purchase a personalized
brick on "The Pathway to Selfless Service" to memorialize or honor a loved one, show
support for the armed services, or simply mark a commissioning or a graduation. Bricks
are engraved and placed in "The Pathway to Selfless Service" once each semester. The
purchase price is $150 and all proceeds above the cost of the brick and engraving
will go the the JMLC Brick Scholarship Fund in the USF Foundation which supports the
               JMLC Selfless Service Award.
Another example of people financially supporting the Suncoast Battalion is the CPT
Jason Holbrook Memorial Leadership Scholarship. This is a philanthropic fund maintained
by the USF Joint Military Leadership Center to support ROTC student attendance at
a nationally recognized annual leadership conference held at one of the U.S. service
academies or another prestigious civilian university/ college. CPT Holbrook, 28, of
Burnet, Texas, was fatally wounded in Tsagay, Afghanistan on July 29, 2010, when his
vehicle struck an improvised explosive device (IED) during a combat reconnaissance
patrol. He was newly wed to USF alumnae Heather Holbrook, '03. Her parents, Cindy,
'74, and John Harper, '76, decided to memorialize their son-in-law through a scholarship
fund that would honor his memory in a way that suited his career choice and his sacrifice
               for his country.
