A large congratulations to Dr. William Kearns! He was nominated this week to become a member of the Scientific Research Honor Society (Sigma Xi). Nominations to Sigma Xi must come from within the society and are based upon the candidate鈥檚 significant contributions to the field. The society was founded in 1886 at Cornell University and has over 200 Nobel laureates and 60,000 members of the scientific community worldwide. They are allied with the National Academies of Science. This prestigious society of scientists has a very strong focus on STEM. We are proud and excited for Dr. Kearns as he embarks on this journey and know he will contribute greatly to Sigma Xi!
