Percentage of Family Households
- Tampa Bay’s family household share remains steady at about 62% in 2024, placing the region in the lower-middle of the comparison MSAs. The decade-long trend shows only small movements between 61-63%, with a mild uptick in recent years.
- Houston, Orlando, and Dallas consistently record some of the highest family household shares, typically ranging between 66-72%. These MSAs consistently rank at the top throughout the entire period.
- Seattle, Austin, and Minneapolis record the lowest shares in 2024: Seattle at 59.2%, Austin at 58.7%, and Minneapolis at 60.1%. These MSAs remain near the bottom of the rankings across most years.
