Percentage of Adults Age 65+ without Health Insurance
- The uninsured rate for adults age 65+ in Tampa Bay has remained consistently low,
dropping from 1.05% in 2013 to 0.78% in 2024. Tampa Bay’s ranking improved steadily over the decade, placing it among the top-performing MSAs in recent years, highlighting strong Medicare coverage and access to care for seniors. - Minneapolis and St. Louis recorded the lowest uninsured rates across most years, often
below 0.5%, ranking them consistently at the top for senior health insurance coverage. - In contrast, Miami and Houston demonstrated the highest uninsured rates — above 3% in early years — placing them at the bottom of the rankings despite notable improvements by 2024.
